Francis Quasie is a Web Manager, content publisher, and photojournalist with a strong passion for visual storytelling and digital media. He began his media career with Ghana Business News, an online business news platform, where his interest in journalism was nurtured through rigorous in-house training in photography and journalism. During this period, he worked as a photojournalist and videographer.

He has covered international conferences in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire, and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, producing interviews and video content that captured key discussions and perspectives from these events.

Francis also has a strong interest in writing, which has enabled him to produce and publish feature stories online. Beyond mainstream media, he is an active Wikipedian, contributing by writing and editing articles and producing photographs that document and tell African stories on the Wikipedia platform.

He has worked on projects for Wikipedia and Creative Commons, international institutions dedicated to providing free access to information for the benefit of humanity. Notable projects include the WikiForHumanRights Campaign 2024: Creating Awareness of Environmental and Ocean Pollution in Ghana, where he produced a short documentary to highlight environmental and ocean pollution and its dangers to both the planet and local communities.

Another key project, Archiving the History of Ghana: A Case Study of Forts and Castles, focused on documenting selected forts and castles in Ghana and making these historical resources freely accessible worldwide through Wikimedia Commons under Creative Commons licenses.

Francis believes in addressing social and developmental issues through the power of the lens, using visual storytelling to create awareness, drive impact, and inspire positive change in society. He holds the belief that when good actions are consistently taken, wrongdoing can be reduced and ultimately eradicated.
